Mufti Day
The school policy follows NHS guidelines.
Which are to stay off school until you have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least two days (48 hours). This is applicable even if your child has only experienced one bout of sickness.
These guidelines are to prevent any sickness bugs spreading throughout the school. Your co-operation would be much appreciated.
If anyone missed out today and would still like to purchase a book.
Please use the following link to order. This needs to be done by Friday 24th. Books, posters, etc will then be passed to school and sent home with your child.

Can parents/carers collecting children from After School Sports Clubs please not park on the school site.
The capacity of the school carpark is currently reduced due to the roofing work and this week cars were parked in a manner that caused a hazard to pedestrians and other motorists.
Parent letters added to the school website can now be found in 'Links' on the School Jotter
Action for all settings: Review water beads product safety alert
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a Product Safety Alert to warn of the risks that water beads pose to children and vulnerable adults.
The alert advises that water beads should be kept away from children under five, and only used with older children or vulnerable adults under close supervision. They are marketed for various purposes, including for use as toys and in crafting. Water beads can expand up to 400 times when exposed to liquid.
When swallowed, they expand and can block the gastrointestinal passage, potentially requiring surgery. They can also cause choking and have harmed children in the UK, with reports linking them to deaths overseas.
If it is suspected that a water bead has been swallowed, medical help should be sought immediately.

All of us at Shifnal Primary School have been deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Dignified and hard-working to the last, she was an inspiration to many. She will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with the royal family at this sad time.
Monday 19 September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral, will be a national bank holiday. Our school will be closed for this day.
This will allow individuals to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate Her reign.
We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas together and have a number of
activities planned to make sure that the children enjoy Christmas in school this year. Due to
increasing numbers of COVID cases, we have been reviewing everything to ensure that it is safe
and that we are not increasing the risk of COVID transmission.
The school has reluctantly taken
the decision not to have parents in school to watch
the performances. We understand and share parents’
disappointment but this measure has been taken to
safeguard the whole school community. The
performances will be filmed and put on Seesaw for all
parents to enjoy. More details to follow.
